Hello everybody!

I wanted to take a moment of your time to let you know what this section of the forum is for.

Growing up. we all heard legends and folktales, some outlandish, others more sinister and some just plain funny! I wanted to create this thread out of a desire to preserve the local lore from all fifty states and archive it here for everyone to read and enjoy but the thing is, I want to people from those areas to tell their own local legends! On the upside, these may eventually be made into a book by SSPRS with the credits going to you guys!!!!

So, the rules are simply this:

1.) It must be a local legend from your state.
2.) If you get the story from somewhere else, please source it appropriately.
3.) Try to get the story as close as possible as you heard it (this helps preserve the unique nature of the tale!)
4.) It doesn't have to be scary; as long as it is paranormal in nature.
5.) There are no limits to the entries you can make!
6.) Have fun!!
